Freytag's Triangle

Freytag's triangle is the idea of a story has a beggining, where the characters are introduced, then rising action until the climax, peak of the story, then falling action to the final resolution. "The Hitchhikers Guide..." follow the same plot line of the triangles in that the rising action starts when Earth is destroyed and Arthur must put all of hius trust in Ford. It continues with being thrown out into space and aboard the president's stolen ship. The climax comes when Trillian, another person from Earth, is being recued from a planet. Finally the final resolution is that people build planets and they decide to build Earth again with everything back exactly the way it was.
