The beginning is good, it definitely catches my interest. Arthur Dent remembers he learned something bad was going to happen the day before but can't remember what it was. He then meets up Ford Prefect and
hitches a ride on a ship.
That's as far as I've gotten for now.

I dont know if you have gotten this far yet in the book, but I remember how it was talking about how the "president" of the galexy does not really do anything except draw attation to or away from something. With that in mind do you think the galexy is ruled by some hidden ruler that decides everything while the "president" just keeps attation away from what is really happening. Maby the time this book was wrote there was something like this going on where the author lived.
hmmm...sounds interesting...what book are you reading and why does the guy hitch a ride on ship...??.. is it a space ship or just a regular ship? what happend when he got on the ship?? where there aliens or humans???
